Plots of NOGAPS analyses are presented in a 4-panel format as individual images or as 5-day loops containing 21 images (6-hourly plots).

Upper right: 700-mb fields

Lower left: 850-mb fields

Precipitation greater than 1 mm in last 6 hours (blue shading),

Terrain heights (m, shaded and contoured every 500 m),
Ground wetness (dashed contours, from 0.1 to 0.9 every 0.2),
Friction velocity greater than 60 and 90 cm/s
(red and magenta shading). 60 cm/is the threshold for dust lifting.
