Applications Development Branch
(Code 7540) The Meteorological Applications Development Branch is responsible for the development of an automated and on-demand weather impact information delivery system. The Branch develops on-scene data analysis/nowcast/forecast systems; meteorological satellite applications; atmospheric aerosol data analysis and predictions; meteorological decision aids; hazardous weather-related applications guides; and tactical weather information delivery techniques. The Branch integrates new scientific knowledge with the analysis and prediction systems into automated weather interpretation systems for Navy and other DOD operations including the effect of atmospheric conditions on weapons systems.
