Welcome to the NRL-Monterey Orographic and Fetch-Limited Flows Project Page

The objective of this basic research initiative is to gain a more complete understanding of topographically-forced flows, particularly in the coastal zone. Specific mesoscale flows of interest include: gravity waves, gravity wave breaking, wake phenomena, undular bores, and orographically-forced precipitation. This page is continually under construction and contains the most recent research results from this ONR-sponsored basic research initiative. Constructive comments are appreciated.
